Dreams aren’t just for kids.
How will you spend your retirement? There could be nothing more worthwhile than spending your time doing the things that truly matter to you. No matter how big or small your dreams are, just please don’t regret not pursuing them. This workshop combines Yoga, Mediation, and Mindfulness to help give you the foundation to start pursuing your post-retirement dreams.

Risers Workshop Series Breakdown
5 Workshops + 1 Retreat

WEEK 1 - Reclaim Your Energy!
As we age,we are in touch with the preciousness of time, so we focus on our energy and how we spend it. Through different practices we explore what depletes us and what increases our zeal. We assess where we spend our time, and ask the question: Is what we are doing how we really want to spend our time? Together we explore changes we may wish to make or reclaim what we already do to fully retire well.
WEEK 2 - Embrace Your Strength
Begin with physical movements that connect you to what makes you strong. Once you find your strength (within your body), you begin to make the connection within your mind and spirit and will experience personal freedom. Don’t know what that is? Stick around - we will find out together! Discuss the first phase of retirement.
WEEK 3 - Attitude Adjustment Hour
Using guided meditations, scientifically based ways to exercise your brain (from the book: How God Changes Your Brain) and mindfulness practices, we uncover any adjustments you would like to make in your attitude; that is, to adopt the mindset you desire at this stage. Small group discussion on coming to terms with any grief and loss you have experienced due to retiring or planning to retire from a career.
WEEK 4 - Move Well
No, we are not going to do pushups in this workshop, but we won’t stop you if you do! We will consider our overall health, the importance of movement and the positive effects of relaxation. We discuss any habits that may need tweaking (or overhauling), and we will discuss the Trial and Error phase of retirement.
WEEK 5 - Align with Purpose
What activities, events and moments feed your spirit? What makes you want to get up in the mornings? We will zero in on what enlivens you and give you purpose. Don’t know yet? That's OK, too. You’ve never been retired before and it doesn’t come with instructions! The goal is to figure out what is life-giving and gives you joy.
WEEK 6 - Half Day Retreat (Integration)
This half-day retreat will integrate the other 5 workshops as you will begin to create your own vision for what your future retirement looks like. By the time you leave, you will have clarity as well as tools to take active steps toward the direction you want to go. So glad to embark on this journey together!
